Single Events:
This year
we decided to do something on a local basis. We will be selling kits to make a
quilt. Proceeds from the kits will be donated to the Jennie Edmundson
Breast Health Clinic in Council Bluffs. The completed quilt will be
raffled locally and proceeds also go to the Breast Health Clinic.
Join us here in the shop for a fun day of sewing and snacking while we make
blocks for this worthwhile cause. Please let us know ahead if you will be
coming so we can plan on sewing space and have plenty of snacks.
If you can't make it and would like to make a block at home, stop
in and purchase one of the kits, and return the completed block to the shop.
We will have drawing throughout the day for some great gifts.
Ongoing Projects:
Project Linus
The ongoing Project Linus has warmed the hearts of many. Drop off at our shop new and clean quilts, blankets or afghans for newborn through 18 years old. These blankets are collected and given to children at risk.

Toiletries for Phoenix House
Unless one has been in a similar situation, I don't think we can begin to know how important the little things can be. Bring in your motel/hotel unused toiletries to donate and we will give you a free Fat Quarter. About once a month these items are taken to the Phoenix House.
